The Business Brain is where ProfitJam keeps what it knows about your business—what you sell, who you serve, what makes you different, and how you sound. Give ProfitJam your website or a short description during setup and it builds the first version for you. Your job is to review it and correct anything it misunderstood.

Tip: If you entered your website when you created your account, your Business Brain may already be building. You do not need to enter the same information again.

Before you start

You only need one of these to begin:

  • Your business website.
  • A short description of what you sell and who buys it.

It also helps to know which services or prices have recently changed and which claims, words, or topics ProfitJam should avoid. You can add those details while reviewing the Brain.

Build your Business Brain

Give ProfitJam a starting point

During account setup, enter your website address. If you do not have a website, describe your business in a few sentences instead.

ProfitJam uses that starting point to draft sections such as Your Business, Audience, Offer, Positioning, Goals, Brand voice, and Hard rules. The build continues in the background, so you can move into your workspace while it works.

Open the overview

From your workspace menu, open Studio → Business Brain. The overview shows which sections are building, which need more information, and which are ready to review.

Answer any follow-up questions

If ProfitJam cannot confidently determine something from your website or description, it asks a short question in the overview. Answer it in your own words. ProfitJam uses that answer to improve the relevant section.

Review the completed sections

Open each completed section and check it as a customer would. A small mistake here can affect future campaigns, posts, emails, pages, and strategy work, so correct it at the source.

Review what it got right

Start with the sections that have the greatest effect on future work.

Your Business

  • What it influences: The basic understanding every other section builds from.
  • Check for: An incorrect business type, outdated services, or the wrong description of how you make money.

Offer

  • What it influences: The products or services ProfitJam refers to in generated work.
  • Check for: Retired services, missing products or services, inaccurate pricing, or an unclear customer outcome.

Audience

  • What it influences: Who ProfitJam writes for, the problems it addresses, and the examples it chooses.
  • Check for: Descriptions that are so broad they could apply to almost anyone.

Brand voice

  • What it influences: The tone and wording used in newly generated social posts, emails, and articles.
  • Check for: A level of formality that feels wrong, generic language, or words you would never use.

Hard rules

  • What they record: Claims, promises, words, or topics ProfitJam should avoid.
  • Check for: Guarantees you cannot support, regulated claims, competitor references, and language that could create risk.

Warning: Hard rules are not a substitute for legal or compliance review, and they are not yet applied as a universal automated check to every generated item. Review regulated or high-risk content before publishing it.

Tune your voice

The Brand voice section is editable prose, not a set of sliders. Write instructions the way you would brief a copywriter: Use short sentences. No exclamation marks. Never say “solutions.”

Changes guide newly generated work. They do not rewrite content you already created.

Review the presentation

When Content Strategy becomes available inside the Business Brain, select Generate to create a branded, 11-chapter strategy presentation as a PDF.

Read it in ProfitJam or use the PDF viewer to download and share it. The presentation brings your business, audience, offer, voice, content plan, seasonal plan, and website direction into one place, which makes gaps and contradictions easier to spot.

Tip: Treat the presentation as a review copy. If something is wrong, correct the matching Business Brain section. Then open Content Strategy again or select Regenerate so the PDF reflects the updated source.

Keep it current

Update the Business Brain when the business changes. Add a new service, price, audience, goal, or restriction before generating the next campaign or document.

ProfitJam saves each edit as the current version used by future generation. Existing content remains unchanged.

Common questions

Does ProfitJam publish anything while the Business Brain is being built?

No. Building or editing the Business Brain does not publish marketing content. Generated posts and other content remain separate from publication.

Can I leave while ProfitJam is building it?

Yes. The build continues in the background. Return to Business Brain → Overview to see what is complete and answer any questions that remain.

Can I have more than one Business Brain?

Each workspace has its own Business Brain. Use a separate workspace for each business or brand whose offers, audience, voice, and rules need to remain separate.

What if ProfitJam misunderstood my website?

Open the affected section and correct it there. Future generation reads the current version of that section.

Who can edit the Business Brain?

Any member with access to the workspace can currently edit its Business Brain.
