Media gives you one place to assemble a reel, edit an uploaded clip, or record your screen or camera. You can combine video, images, text, movement, captions, and audio on a timeline, then turn the finished design into an MP4 in your media library.

Start a video

Open Media from the sidebar and select Create. Choose the starting point that fits the job:

  • Create video opens a blank video design after you choose its size. Use Story / Reel / TikTok for a vertical 9:16 canvas, or choose another available size for the destination you have in mind.
  • Record your screen opens a 16:9 design and starts the screen recorder.
  • Record yourself lets you choose a vertical or standard canvas before the camera recorder opens.
  • Upload adds existing images, videos, or audio to Media.

To edit a video that is already in Media, open its preview and select Edit. A finished video that came from a design shows Edit design instead, so you can return to the original layers and timeline.

Build the design

Use the left side of the editor to add and organise your material:

  • Layers shows what is on the current page.
  • Templates gives you a designed starting point.
  • Elements includes your images and videos, stock photos and clips, graphics, shapes, and stickers.
  • Text adds editable wording over the video.

Under Elements, select Videos to upload another clip, add a webcam or screen recording, browse your own videos, or search stock clips. Select a video layer to adjust its volume, mute it, loop it, or set its trim start and end.

Shape the timing and movement

The timeline at the bottom controls the whole video. Use Play to preview it and turn repeat playback on when you want to review a section continuously.

Each page is a timed scene. You can:

  • drag a page edge to change how long it lasts;
  • add, duplicate, or delete pages;
  • add a page transition;
  • drag a layer's timing bar to control when it appears;
  • select a layer and choose Animate, or add a keyframe for more precise movement.

The time shown in the timeline is also the duration ProfitJam uses for the exported video.

Generate editable captions

Select a video clip, then find Captions in its Video settings and choose Generate captions. ProfitJam transcribes the clip and adds timed text layers to the page.

The caption layers remain editable, so you can correct the wording and adjust their appearance like other text. If captions already exist, generating them again asks whether you want to Replace the current set.

Add music or another audio track

In the audio area of the timeline, choose Add music to preview and use a track from the built-in collection. Choose Add track when you want another audio lane. You can also upload an audio file or use a direct audio-file URL.

Important: Use music, voice, and other audio only when you have the right to include it. The built-in collection carries its included licence; you are responsible for audio you upload or link.

Export the finished video

Select Export in the editor. Video designs export as MP4 (H.264), with these quality choices:

  • Smooth - 1080p at 60fps;
  • Standard - 1080p at 30fps;
  • Light - 720p at 30fps.

ProfitJam saves the latest design, renders the video, and shows progress. Longer or more detailed videos can take a few minutes. When Saved to Media appears, the finished MP4 is ready in your library.

Export creates the finished file; it does not publish it. To use the video in a social post, open or create the post in Content, select Library, and attach the exported video before choosing the post's publish or schedule option.

Common questions

Why can't I export yet?

A clip that is still uploading or being prepared in your browser has to finish first. If the editor says a file is missing, record or upload that source again before exporting.

Can I keep editing after export?

Yes. The design stays in Media. Open the finished video's preview, select Edit design, make your changes, and export again to refresh its finished file.

Does closing the export window stop the render?

No. Closing the window does not cancel an export that is already running.
