Pages are the building blocks of your ProfitJam website, and a slug is the readable part of a page's web address. Use a simple hierarchy and short slugs so visitors and search engines can understand where each page belongs.
Tip: Sketch the site in a few lines before creating pages. A small business site often needs Home, About, Services, and Contact before it needs anything more complicated.
ProfitJam keeps three page details separate:
For example, a page named “Commercial Cleaning” might use the public title “Commercial Cleaning in Newark” and the slug commercial-cleaning.
Open a page in the builder, then open the Sitemap panel.
A child page includes its parent pages in the address. For example, a page with the slug consulting beneath services uses the path /services/consulting.
The home page is different: it always uses the site's main address and stays at the top level.
Open the page's Page Settings and edit the web address.
A good slug is:
If the address is already used at that level of the site, ProfitJam suggests a unique replacement.
Important: Moving a page beneath a different parent changes its full address. Review links and navigation after reorganizing several published pages.
You can change a slug or move a page after publication. ProfitJam keeps the previous published address working by creating a redirect to the new one. You can review and remove forwarding rules under Settings, then Redirects.
This also protects old addresses when moving a parent page changes the paths of pages nested beneath it.
Use Page Settings to set the public title, description, slug, share image, and search visibility. The internal page name remains separate, so your team can use a practical label without forcing that wording into search results.
Turning off search visibility does not make the page private. It controls whether the page is intended to appear in search and in ProfitJam's sitemap.
Note: Password protection applies to the whole published website, not to an individual page. Use the site-wide password lock under Settings when you need to hide a site while testing it.
Archive a page when you want to remove it from the live site without deleting it permanently. Archiving also removes pages nested beneath it. Restore each page you want to bring back to the workspace, then publish it again when it is ready to return to the live site.
Permanent deletion is available from the archive. Move or delete a page's children first, because ProfitJam does not permanently delete a parent while child pages remain beneath it.
They can use the same final slug when they sit beneath different parents and therefore have different full paths. Pages at the same level need unique slugs.
If the page was already published, ProfitJam creates a redirect from the old address to the new one so existing links continue to work.
No. Search visibility is not access control. Anyone with the address may still open a published page.
Use the password lock under Settings to protect the whole published website while it is being reviewed.
Archiving removes a page from the live site and can be reversed. Deleting from the archive is permanent.
