Create announcements, updates, promotions, and newsletter-style emails in the same place as the rest of your campaign content. You can shape the message visually, check the rendered result, send yourself a test copy, and then publish immediately or place it on the schedule.

Create a one-off email

Open Content, select Create, then choose Email. Pick a suggested topic when one fits, or start with your own idea.

The email editor gives you three parts to prepare:

  • Subject is the line recipients see first.
  • Preheader is the supporting inbox-preview text shown beside the subject.
  • Body is the designed email itself.

Build the body from sections, then edit the text, links, images, spacing, colors, and other available settings. Select Save whenever you want to keep the current draft.

Preview and test the message

Select Preview above the body to compile the current design and see the rendered email with its subject and preheader.

Before publishing, select Test send, enter an email address, and choose Send. The test is a private rendering check: it sends one copy through ProfitJam's system mailer and does not publish the email or change its status.

Tip: Open the test on both a phone and a desktop. Check the subject, first screenful, links, image sizing, and the final call to action before you schedule the real send.

Check the audience and sending setup

Before publishing, make sure the email has a connected sending provider, an audience, and the sender details that provider requires. ProfitJam checks these when you select Publish and tells you when something essential is missing.

The audience is prepared outside the one-off email editor rather than chosen inside it. A successful Test send confirms the design and links, but it does not confirm the real audience or provider setup because test copies use ProfitJam's test delivery route.

Only send marketing email to people you are permitted to contact. ProfitJam applies the consent and suppression checks available for the chosen route, while your business remains responsible for selecting an appropriate audience.

Publish now or schedule

When the subject, body, delivery route, and audience are ready, select Publish. Choose the timing that suits the send:

  • Publish now starts delivery immediately.
  • ASAP uses the next available slot.
  • Blend with my schedule finds a suitable gap in the existing queue.
  • Pick a time uses the date and time you choose.

Review the resolved time and confirm. A scheduled email shows Change time when you reopen it, and its publishing status appears beside the editor.

Important: Treat a published one-off email as sent. It cannot be recalled or edited in place after delivery. Create a new email when you need to send a corrected or follow-up message.

Use Sequences for multi-step email

A one-off email or newsletter is one message with one publishing decision. Use Sequences when several emails should be sent as a connected journey, such as a welcome series, nurture flow, or timed follow-up.

Sequence-step emails use the same editor and can be test-sent, but they do not publish independently. Select Save in the step editor; the sequence controls when enrolled contacts receive it.

Common questions

Why did my test work but Publish fail?

Test send bypasses your connected email provider. Open Integrations and check the provider connection, then confirm that the delivery route has the audience and sender details it requires.

Where do I choose the recipients?

Prepare the audience before opening the one-off email editor. When you publish, ProfitJam uses the audience attached to the message and stops before sending if it cannot resolve one.

Should I use Email or Sequences?

Use Email for one announcement, update, promotion, or newsletter. Use Sequences when contacts should receive several messages over time or after a trigger.
