An Agent is a saved automation with a starting point and an ordered set of steps. ProfitJam gives you ready-made templates for common jobs, or you can describe the result you want to Tempo and let it check whether the current building blocks can support it.
Open Agents from the left rail. The three tabs divide the work clearly:
The shortest working route is New order → team alert. It starts when ProfitJam records a paid order and emails the address set for order notifications in your workspace.
The current template catalog also includes a daily owner digest, a big-order alert, an approved order thank-you, and a Google Drive folder watcher. Select a card to see its required connection and setup questions before creating it.
ProfitJam adds the new Agent to Installed as a draft. Creating it does not turn it on.
Important: The advanced templates are visible previews of the Agent system, but their later steps do not yet use every earlier AI or file-check result as the template descriptions imply. For live work today, begin with New order → team alert and verify the first real run before relying on another template.
Select Create when no template matches. Describe the moment that should start the Agent and the result you want in plain language. Tempo first looks for a matching template. If the current trigger and step library can support the request, it creates a draft; if not, it tells you the missing capability instead of creating a partial Agent silently.
The current Agents screen does not include a visual step editor. Use a template for predictable setup, and be specific when asking Tempo for a custom Agent.
Open Agents → Installed, find the draft, and select Activate. An active Agent is eligible to run when its starting event occurs. Use Pause to stop new runs, or Resume to turn a paused Agent back on.
The Last run column shows whether the latest run is scheduled, running, waiting, completed, failed, or cancelled. Select the Agent row or the history button to open the run details, including each step, its attempts, duration, and any error. A step that has stopped after repeated failures can be retried from this view.
If a run reaches an approval step, open For Review. Read the instructions, add an optional note, then select Approve to continue or Reject to stop that run.
No. A template or Tempo creates a draft. You explicitly select Activate from Installed before it becomes eligible to run.
The current customer screen lets you activate, pause, resume, and inspect run history. It does not yet provide a visual editor for changing the trigger or ordered steps. Create a new draft if the setup needs to change.
Open Installed, select the Agent, and inspect its latest run. The detail view shows the failed step and error, and offers a retry when that step is eligible.
The run waits in For Review. It continues only after you approve that step; rejecting it stops that run.
Support answers in under a business day, and reads your workspace before replying.
